Yearly Review #4: Our Perspective


Our Answers: Fred and Amanda. 35 & 31.

Q: What is the best thing we did as a family this past year?
Fred: We went to Tokashiki. This was sharing an experience with my family that I had.
Amanda: We took my mom and Petey all around the island. I totally love the Pineapple Park.

Q: What is the best meal you had?
Fred: Here at home, but I don't know what though. It's not really one dish. It's just everything about my new diet that I'm on. I enjoy it. I feel great, and have lost weight. It's really a bunch of new meals. The wheat rolls. The chicken. The fish. The fresh vegetables
Amanda: I learned about "Clean Eating" and all the recipes that go with natural, healthy eating.

Q: Who did you meet this year? Any new friends?
Fred: Brad. He's not "new" but I've gotten closer with him. He's an accountability partner and becoming a best friend.
Amanda: Nanette. Totally a Titus 2 lady in my life.

Q: Who did you say goodbye to this year?
Fred: Heather and Jeff. That was a big one for us.
Amanda: I miss Heather. We also said goodbye to The Newlons and Miss Daisy.

Q: What did you learn this past year?
Fred: There's more to leading worship than just playing good music.
Amanda: That God is sovereign and he loves me, my marriage, my family, and my future more than I do. I learned about grace.

Q: What was the scariest thing that happened in 2009?
Fred: A wake-up call from God about priorities.
Amanda: Refinement in our marriage and Fred's health scare in September.

Q: What did we do in 2009 that you want to do next year?
Fred: Go somewhere new for spring break.
Amanda: Maupin Mondays and Thanksgiving coupon books.

Q: Anything we did that you DO NOT want to do again?
Fred: Walk-a-thon
Amanda: Walk-a-thon committee

Q: How did you grow closer to God this past year?
Fred: My dedication to reading God's word.
Amanda: He took me on a journey through Biblical womanhood.

Q: Give me five words that describe you.
Fred: optimistic, friendly, growing, love my family, healthy
Amanda: organized, family chef, mom, faithful, learning & growing (hee hee, snuck in an extra word)

Q: What is your #1 wish for 2010?
Fred: That God will have His way with us. His will not mine.
Amanda: Only one?! Missions trip to the Philippines & visit family this summer
